The Government of India has curated the parivahan sewa online portal under Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to digitise the entire ecosystem of information related to transportation department.
To check the fitness certificate the users can check the certificate on the online portal Parivahan Sewa by entering certain basic details such as vehicle registration number chassis number of vehicle and engine number to get the details of the fitness certificate of your vehicle.

The renewal procedure of vehicle fitness certificate is prescribed by the guidelines of the government. For own board vehicle i.e, personal or private vehicle the fitness certificate for a new vehicle is given for 15 years and then it will be renewed for 5 years after the inspection. For public transport, the certificate will be issued for 2 years and the renewal certificate should be renewed every year after proper inspection.
