Thank you for purchasing VAMOSYS GV05 tracker. This manual will help you install and operate the device without any hassles. Please read the manual carefully before installing the device.

Note: The specification and information are subject to change without prior notice. Any such change will be reflected in the latest version of the app.

Quick Guide

  1. Insert GSM SIM card, connect the device to power supply 12V/24V, and turn the small switch to the “ON” position which is located above the sim slot.
  2. Keep the device outside, it should take around 45-90s for three LED lights stands for device to work normally.
  3. Dial the device number, hang up and send a reply with the tracking message with valid Latitude and Longitude details.
  4. To track online, system needs to set ADMIN IP and APN User Name by sending Two SMS as below:
    • adminip123456 (space) (space) 9993
    • apn123456 (space) APN of operator (space) APN user name (space) APN password.

Installation Instruction

NOTE: Place the front of the device facing the sky, for the device to work optimally.

Attention: If the windshield is glued by a metal thermal insulation layer, it will weaken the GPS from receiving and transmitting signals which might lead to inaccuracy of the device’s location.

The VAMOSYS GV05 device works on GSM/GPRS network and GPS satellites, to transmit location data and can be monitored by paired devices from remote targets by SMS or GPRS.

Installation Instructions

  • Preparation: Please insert SIM card before turning ON the device. And make sure, the SIM card has sufficient balance, for the GPRS to function.
    • Open back cover → Remove the screws as shown below.
    • Insert SIM card → Switch button to “ON”.
  • To Install: It is ideal if the device is being installed by professionals. Please pay attention to the following points:

  • The device has built-in GSM and GPS antenna, make sure the receiver is facing upward towards the sky and there is no metal shielding covering it.

Ideal place to Install the device

  • Under the front windshield
  • Around the dashboard (non-metal material for skin)
  • Under the rear windshield.


Device LED Light Description

Note: The 3 stable LED light represents that the device can work normally. Device will turn into sleep mode with lights off after around 3 minutes, and wakes up when a call is made to the device or when it detects any vibrations.

Wire Connectivity

  1. Red wire is connected to vehicle power anode (+)
  2. Black wire is connected to vehicle power cathode (-)
  3. Yellow wire is connected to oil or circuit control wires
  4. Green wire is connected to ACC ignition wire


Function Setting

  • Initialization

Send SMS “begin+password” to the unit, it will reply “BEGIN, CONFIG OK ”and initialize all the settings to default factory settings (Default password:123456)

For example: send SMS “begin123456”, it will reply “BEGIN, CONFIG OK ”.

Change Password

Send SMS “password+old password (space) new password” to the unit.

For Example: Send SMS “password123456 888888” to the unit. You’ll get a response, “PASSWORD,CONFIG OK” to your cell phone from the device tracker.


Set Central Number-Receive alert SMS Authorization

Only one number can be registered as Central Number. All alerts will be received by central number.

  1. To Set Up: Send command “centernum+password (space) Phone number” to tracker, it will reply “CENTERNUM OK”.

Example: “CENTERNUM123456 7449271007”

After setup monitor center number, the messages of auto track by SMS will be set to this center number, if all alerts need to be sent to this number too, then this center number must be setup as authorized number.

  1. To Cancel: Send “centernum+password” to tracker, it will reply “CENTERNUM, CONFIG OK”.

Example: “CENTERNUM123456”


Maximum of 5 numbers can be authorized in the GV05 Tracker.

  1. To Authorize: Send SMS “admin+password (space) cell phone number” to set up an authorized number, The central number should be set first authorized number, if the number is successfully authorized, the unit will reply” ADMIN,CONFIG OK” by SMS.
  2. To De-authorize: SendSMS “noadmin+password (space) authorized number” to delete the authorized number.

Single Tracking

Make a missed call to device number or Send SMS “smslink+password” to device number, it will reply a real time tracking message info as below:

Cut off the Oil and Power System

Send SMS command “DY+password+(space)+1” to the tracker device, it will reply “DY CONFIG OK” to your cell phone from the tracker device, and stop your car oil pump or elec as well.

For example: DY123456 1

Resume the Oil and Power System

Send SMS command “DY+password+(space)+0” to the tracker device, it will reply “DY CONFIG OK” to your cell phone from the tracker device, and stop your car oil pump or elec as well.

For example: DY123456 0

Set All alert Command

Check the Vehicle State

Send SMS command “check+password” to the tracker device in the vehicle, it will reply following SMS:

Time Setting

Send SMS command “timezone123456(space) (timezone*60)” to the tracker unit.

For example: Send SMS “timezone123456 330”, +5.5 is India time zone, so it is 5.5*60=330; If your country time zone is minus -6, send SMS “timezone123456 -360”.



APN standards for Access Point Name and differs from country to country. For more information about your local APN, please inquire with your local GPRS  network operator.

Send SMS “APN+password+space+local APN+space+APN name+space+APN password” via a cell phone and if succeeded, the tracker will return the message “APN OK”.

For Example Send SMS command “APN123456 IOT.COM”. If succeeded, it will reply SMS “APN OK”.

Notes: IOT is the APN of one of India GPRS Network operators; it has no APN name and Password.

Set IP (Domain) and Port

Send SMS “adminip+password+space+IP Address+space+port number”, If succeeded, it will reply “ADMINIP, CONFIG OK”.

E.g. Send SMS: “ADMINIP123456 9993” to the tracker device, ( is IP, 9993 is port).

  • Battery Saver (For 2-wheeler)

Send SMS “ALLGPS+password (space) 0” to the unit, to activate the battery saver.


For example: ALLGPS123456 0

This equipment generates, uses instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

— Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

— Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

— Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

— Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

–The distance between user and products should be no less than 30 cm.
