Tyre inventory and maintenance of the fleet is very simple with the FleetOS application. It will be helpful for the fleet managers to maintain the tyre data, service logs, stock details on the software application.
In our FleetOS app the tyre management system is one of the prime features to ensure the tyre life longevity.
It’s time to migrate the tire details from the conventional excel sheet to the digital platform like FleetOS.
In this article, you will learn how to manage tyre inventory and tyre maintenance on FleetOS.
Consider Mr.X is a fleet business owner of ABC Trucks managing a fleet of 30 trucks from Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Mr.X has already signed up with FleetOS and added all his trucks under his organization. Now he wants to manage and maintain the tyre of his vehicles and stock tyres.
Let’s see and understand how he manage tyre inventory and tyre maintenance for his fleet vehicles.
After logging in on the FleetOS application, select the tyre inventory section from the Tyres menu.
The screen will appear on the application as provided below.
Select the Add Tyre menu on the top right of the Tyre inventory screen to add tyre data to inventory list on FleetOS application.
Update the tyre details on the screen appear after selecting the Add tyre.
In this, the fleet owner needs to update the below mentioned tyre details on the application.

All Tyres updated on the inventory can be viewed by the fleet owners.
Can filter the tyre data based on the vehicle or serial number wise.
In the Manage Tyre listed under the Tyres section will provide the list of vehicles and the details of tires associated with that vehicles.

To view the list of tyres installed in a particular vehicle, select the eye icon from the view details column to view the tyre details.
On the list, the vehicle owner can see all the tyres, with the brand, serial number, Date of Manufacturing, Rolling Kilometres, Maximum Kilometres.
As a fleet operator at times the fleet manager and fleet maintenance technician will move the tyres from one vehicle to another as a replacement or add a new tyre to one vehicle and replace the existing one with another vehicle.
Or else, the new tyre will be added and move the existing old tyre to stock for future purposes or it can be used as a replacement tyre in the vehicle.

In the FleetOS menu section, select the Tyre inventory.
Under the inventory, the fleet owner can see all the listed tyres updated on the FleetOS application.
Under the Action Column select the MOVE option (refer the screenshot below for reference).
On selecting the move icon, the POPUP will occur.
In the Pop-up, update the details to move the tyre.
Remarks (if any) and then submit to move the tyre.
In every vehicle, after certain kilometers, the tyre needs to undergo retreading to maintain the tyre life and vehicle performance.
Usually, the fleet manager and maintenance technician will do the process and most of the time this is not recorded anywhere or maintained in the excel sheets or log books.
Let us understand how to update the re-tread details on the FleetOS.
In the FleetOS menu section, select the Tyre inventory.
Under the inventory, the fleet owner can see all the listed tyres updated on the FleetOS application.
Under the Action Column select the RETHREAD option (refer the screenshot below for reference).
On selecting the retread icon, the POPUP will occur.
In the Pop-up, update the details to move the tyre.
Remarks (if any) and then submit to update the tyre retread.
Fleet owner at any point of time need to audit the tires of his/her fleet, it can be done wil the aid of the FleetOS application.
For this, there is a provision on the FleetOS application to view all the status and updates related to the tyres.

In the FleetOS menu section, select the Tyre inventory.
Under the inventory, the fleet owner can see all the listed tyres updated on the FleetOS application.
Under the Action Column select the AUDIT option (refer the screenshot below for reference).
On selecting the retread icon, the POPUP will occur.

There can be scenarios where the tyre may face puncture or face alignment issues or any other services will be done on the vehicle tyre.
After every service there is no document or log to maintain the tyre services properly in fleet operations.
With FleetOS fleet operators can update all the tyre service logs on the FleetOS application.
