What is the use of this SIM tracking process?
  • For any driver type, SIM tracking is used to track the vehicle for location updates.
  • Sometimes, even smart driver cannot be able to update the status and location due to network or some other issues
How to buy additional pings?

Using buy credits option, fleet operator can buy the pings for tracking purpose

What happens when all the available pings are empty?

Fleet operator cannot able to use the sim tracking mode with the driver's mobile number due to lack of pings

What is Force Handover?

Without the current driver’s action, fleet operator can force handover the vehicle to manager or driver

What is Handover?

During a plan is in progress due to some reason the vehicle may be handover to the manager or to a driver is called handover

What is Extended plan?

The plan which is created after driver completed his previous plan and the vehicle is with him now. This is called extended plan

  • Navigate to view plan screen once trip started
  • Click create plan tab and submit the form after filling all the details
  • Once the current plan is completed automatically the next created plan will be displayed in driver’s dashboard
How to track the vehicle with SIM consent?
  • To track the vehicle with SIM consent mode, initiate SIM consent tracking using initiate button
  • Driver will receive a message and he needs to reply with yes option
  • Then SIM tracking will start
What is trip and plan?

If a plan is from Chennai to Mumbai & if there are 2 drivers then one driver will drive from Chennai to Bangalore; For that driver it’s a trip but overall from Chennai to Mumbai is a plan

  • What is trip planning?

    Trip planning is the process of assigning or scheduling a trip to a driver. While scheduling a trip,
    you can plan every detail like vehicle type for a particular trip, vehicle pickup location, pickup
    timing, loading location, and unloading location. While planning a trip, you can also know about
    idle drivers, the number of drivers on the trip, the number of idle vehicles, and vehicles used on
    the trip.

  • How to create a trip plan?
    • Land to the trip plans page.
    • Choose create plan option for a vehicle that is not assigned with any plans previously.
    • Now create a plan for the chosen vehicle by specifying the name of the plan, tracking mode(either SIM consent tracking or GPS device tracking), driver mode (either single driver for the tripor multi-driver), assign the driver, vehicle pickup & drop location, loading & unloading locations,and date & time for the plan.
    • After creating the plan successfully, the specified plan’s details will be reflected on the DRS

    application.

  • How to view a scheduled plan?

    Once a trip plan is created and submitted successfully with all the mandatory details, you can
    view the plan for a particular trip on the trip plan page by clicking the view plan tab. You can also
    view the scheduled trip with status like pending, accepted, moving to loading point, moving to
    unloading point, and trip completed. Also, you can share the scheduled trip with any email-id if
    needed.

  • Why is the driver status displayed as accepted when there is no plan or after completing the trip?

    The vehicle is still with the driver even after completing the scheduled trip, or there is no
    scheduled plan for the driver, so his status will be displayed as accepted.

  • How to track your vehicle with the SIM consent tracking option?
    • To track a vehicle with SIM consent mode, select the SIM consent option in tracking mode.
    • After selecting the option, a message from FleetOS will be initiated to the driver’s mobile number,to which he should reply with a YES message.
    • After replying to this message, the driver’s mobile number will be tracked.
  • What is the Upcoming plan?

    An upcoming plan is created for the drivers who are already allotted on a trip. After completing
    the current trip automatically, the details for the upcoming or second trip will be displayed in
    Driver’s DRS application.

  • How to create an Upcoming plan or next plan?
    • To create an upcoming plan or next plan, navigate the view plan page and select the next plan
      tab.
    • In that, create the next plan for the same driver with all mandatory details.
    • When the driver finishes his current plan automatically, upcoming plan details are shown to him in

    the DRS application, and he can proceed with his upcoming plan.

  • What is an Extended plan?

    A driver has completed his current plan and is waiting for the next plan to be assigned to him, and we assign that driver with the next plan. This is called the extended version of a plan.

  • What is the use of the Handover tab on the view page?

    If the driver is unable to continue his current plan due to reasons, in this situation Fleet owner or
    admin can handover the plan and vehicle to another driver.

  • What is the use of the Handover tab on the view page?

    • View the scheduled plan you want to handover and click on the handover tab.
    • Change the driver anime in the assigned driver field.
    • Enter the pickup location and time for the new driver and handover the vehicle to the new driver.
  • How to handover the vehicle to a manager?
    • Select the trip plan you want to handover and move to the handover tab.
    • In this screen, select the handover mode as manager.
    • In addition to specifying pickup location and time, we also need to specify the contact person
      number.
    • After completing these procedures, the vehicle can be handed over successfully to the manager.

    If a driver is unable to continue in the plan which is in progress, without the driver’s concern fleet
    owner can directly handover the vehicle to another driver. This feature is called force handover,
    which is provided in the handover tab.
